A Year in Review & What’s to Come
Looking back at 2022
2022 was an exciting year for Cosmic Lingua. After founding a language service exclusively focused on the space industry back in 2021, there was still a lot of work to do. The first half of 2022 was focused on building the brand, working on website copy and look and, of course, going online. Since summer 2022, we have finally got an official web presence.
2022 was also a year of big events. After Amelie Aichinger had already attended the virtual UK Space Conference and the virtual German aerospace congress DLRK under the name of Cosmic Lingua in 2021, this year finally brought the first in-person event: the IAC in Paris in September, which we also reported on in a different post. After over a year of exclusively virtual contacts, it was great to finally meet up in person.
Mid-2022, Cosmic Lingua also launched its blog, where you can already find a couple of interesting posts. We are looking forward to adding more content in 2023!
Planning 2023
Since we are already on the topic of our blog, you will be happy to hear that we have already got some interesting topics in the pipeline: among others, we will be discussing gender-neutral language in texts. We will ask about the what and why and you will of course receive useful and hands-on advice how to incorporate it into your writing. There will be other helpful posts and interesting reads as well, but we don’t want to kill the suspense just yet!
Along with extensive blog planning, Cosmic Lingua has of course also looked at the event calendar for 2023. We are currently planning to attend the Munich NewSpace Summit in May as well as the Space Tech Expo in Bremen in November. The 2023 UK Space Conference in Belfast is also a strong contender, but we might not be able to make it there given that it takes place only a few days after Space Tech Expo.
With that, we wish all our clients and readers a good start to a successful new year, and look forward to the challenges it may bring!
